The Restoration of Jurisdiction Department of the Union of Ontario Indians conducted the Anishinaabe Dodemaag (Clans) Teachings Conference – held March 28 to the 29th, 2023 – in Little Current, Ontario. Through the teachings of speaker Chop Waindubence and Anishinabek Head Getzit, Richard Assinewai, it provided an introduction and in-depth exploration of the traditional governance process based on the guiding principles of the Dodemaag System and the 7-Pointed Star System, decision-making process.
